How to Install Fog Lights on the Chrysler 300

The fog lights on the Chrysler 300 help improve visibility at night and in inclement weather. Check the fog lights every six months to make sure that they are functioning normally. If a fog light is burned out, replace it immediately. Locate the part number you'll need for the replacement bulb on the base of the old bulb. Take this number to any auto parts store and buy the correct replacement fog light.

  • Open the hood and remove the electrical plug from the back of the factory fog light ballast. Push down on the release tab on the top of the plug and pull the connector off the back of the ballast.

  • Turn the fog light counterclockwise and pull it out of the housing.

  • Insert the new fog light bulb into the housing and align the tab on the bulb with the notches cut into the back of the housing assembly.

  • Turn the fog light clockwise to secure it into the 300's fog light assembly.

  • Plug the electrical connector back into the Chrysler's fog light ballast.

  • Turn the fog lights on to verify that the fog lights are working properly.
