1992 Ford F150 Tuneup Specs

4.9 Liter Tuneup Specifications

  • The standard spark plug on the 4.9-liter, inline 6-cylinder engine is the BSF-44P from Motorcraft, and the PCV Valve is Motorcraft EV11. The air filter is an FA-1046. This engine requires a Duralast F980 distributor cap and F983 ignition rotor. The spark plug wireset is a Duralast 4901. The firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4. Number one plug is marked on the cap. Spark plug gas should be set to .044 (44 thousandths of an inch). Ignition timing is 10 degrees before top dead center.

5.0 Liter V8 Tuneup Specifications

  • The OEM spark plug is an ASF-42P from Motorcraft. This engine uses an EV-140 PCV Valve, also from Motorcraft. Distributir cap and ignition rotor, both from Duralast are the F954 and F981, respectively. Spark plug gap is .054 (54 thousandths of an inch) and ignition timing is 10 degrees before top dead center. The firing order of the 302 V8 engine is1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. The location of the number one plug is marked on the cap.

5.8 Liter Tuneup Specifications

  • This engine comes stock equipped with Motorcraft ASF-32P spark plugs and an EV-68P PCV Valve.

    The firing order of the 351 Windsor V8 is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 and ignition timing is 10 degrees before top dead center. The location of the number one plug is marked on the cap.The spark plugs are to be gapped at .044 (44 thousandths of an inch). This engine takes the F954 distributor cap and the F981 ignition rotor from Duralast.
