How to Program an F350 Keyless Remote

If you are looking for a large-bodied truck with some serious muscle power, look no further than the Ford F-350 Super Duty. The F-350 debuted in 1999, and Ford has kept adding features over the last decade. Some F-350s come equipped with a remote entry system controlled by a key fob. This wireless remote allows you to control the locking system on your Ford truck without having to use the key itself. Programming the keyless remote to your Ford F-350 requires no special equipment.

Things You'll Need

  • Remote
  • Ignition key
  • Enter the F-350 and sit in the driver seat, then close all of the doors.

  • Insert the key in the ignition. Complete Steps 3 through 6 within 10 seconds.

  • Turn the key to the "Run" position. Everything should turn on in the truck, including the lights, but the engine should remain off.

  • Turn the key to the "Off" position, or the same position it was in before you inserted the ignition key.

  • Turn the key to the "Run" position a second time.

  • Repeat Steps 4 and 5 another six times. On the eighth time you turn the key to "Run," the doors will lock and unlock. When this happens, you are in the keyless entry programming mode.

  • Press any button on the remote. Do this within 20 seconds after completing Step 6. The locks will cycle again, and your remote is now programmed. You can remove the key from the F-350 ignition to exit to normal mode.
