How to Reset the Oil Monitor on a Dodge Sprinter

Many Dodge Sprinters feature an active service system connected to the onboard computer that informs the driver when the next oil-change service is due. The oil monitor message appears on the display about 1,900 miles in advance of when the service should be performed. You should reset the oil-monitoring system after changing the oil. Resetting the monitor allows the computer system to track the intervals between oil changes accurately.

  • Press the "M" menu button on the steering wheel repeatedly until the oil-monitor message is displayed.

  • Press the up or down arrow on the control panel until it displays the remaining miles until service is due.

  • Press and hold the reset button on the control panel until the oil-monitor message resets.
