How to Remove Nissan Wheels

As simple -- and important -- as learning to remove a tire is, some people are intimidated by the worry that they might damage the car. Following these simple steps will give you an easy guide to removing a tire from a Nissan or any other vehicle without worry.

Things You'll Need

  • Jack
  • 2 jack stands
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Tire iron
  • Lift the vehicle using the jack and secure it on jack stands. Be sure the vehicle is completely secure on the jack stands.

  • Place the flathead screwdriver behind the edge of the hubcap on the tire and use some leverage to pop it off. If your vehicle has a tool for removing the hubcap in the spare tire kit, use that tool instead.

  • Place the tire iron over a lug nut and turn the tire iron counter-clockwise to remove the nut. Repeat this process for each nut on the wheel until the wheel is completely unbolted from the hub.

  • Pick up the tire with both hands at the sides and pull it off of the rotor.
