How to Compare Prices on Goodyear Tires

Based in Akron, Ohio, and founded in 1898, the Goodyear Tire Company is principally engaged in the development, manufacture, distribution and sale of tires and related products. It manufactures rubber tires for all types of vehicles, including automobiles, motorcycles and farm equipment. Comparing prices on Goodyear tires is about knowing your purchase options.

  • Know the Goodyear tire product offering. Currently, Goodyear sells the Eagle, Fortera, Wrangler and Assurance.

  • Go to an online comparison shopper site like Nextag (see Resources). Online comparison shoppers allow you to compare prices of both brand and discount stores. As of September 2009, sellers of Goodyear tires with prices represented are BikeBandit.com, tires-easy.com, TireTeam.com, TireRack, Discount Tire, JC Whitney and CarParts.com.

  • Go to the Goodyear website (see Resources). Compare the prices against Nextag or eBay. The website will allow you to search for dealers in your area. You will need an address or a zip code in order to conduct the search.

  • Compare the warranty. All Goodyear tires are sold with a limited warranty. However, when making the claim under the Tread Life Limited Warranty, you must present your original tire purchase invoice which shows the tire description, mileage and the date the tire(s) was installed. You must also present the tire to be adjusted to a Goodyear retailer. Be mindful of this with when making a purchase from a "non" Goodyear retailer.

  • Compare prices for 'Dunlop', 'Kelly', 'Fulda', 'Debica, 'and Sava. These are all sold under the Goodyear Company name and may be offered at different price levels.
