Did you ever wonder how much boost you're running? Have you had a boost gauge installed on the pillar for months but never hooked it up? Does that make you feel like a ricer? It should, and we're ashamed of you. We can overlook it though, if you hook it up right after you finish reading this article. For this month's Quick Tech, we met up with Brian Joslin of Moto Persona to hook up a boost gauge in a 1.8T. For the installation we used a VDO boost gauge and a Gauge Works A-pillar pod. This install is a breeze, so you should be able to do it in about an hour. VDO makes quite a few different styles of gauges, and Gauge Works has dozens of designs for pods; with all of the options available, I'm sure you'll have no problem finding a look that you like.
