BP Rabbit AWD
Last month we introduced the Bluewater Performance Mk5 VW Rabbit that will become an AWD E85 racecar for eurotuner GP. Gabe Adams, owner of BP, has been working 20-hour days to complete the build in time to run tests at Bonneville Salt Flats.

Two weeks ago, they started receiving parts to rebuild the 2.5-liter engine with Intergarted Engineering rods and 85mm JE Pistons into 0.5mm overbored cylinders. Raceware 10mm studs were used on the ported and polished head, which has BP’s Short Runner intake. On the boost side, they fitted a Precision 6765 turbo along with IE’s FMIC. Cooling takes a nod from drag racing with an electric water pump and thermostat.

To get its proposed 600hp to the ground, the company has used an ’00 Audi TT transmission, transfer case and driveshaft that was machined to fit the 2.5L block. The axles were then modified to accept the Rabbit’s hubs that turn massive 18x10.5" CCW Classic forged wheels with black faces and red barrels.

We can’t wait to see the car in all its glory at the track in the upcoming etGP.

RS4/RS6
HT-Motorsport and its Project RS-X have been swapping the RS6 engine into a RS4 for several months. They’ve recently completed the intake manifolds with dual fuel rails that mount 16 injectors – eight for pump gas, eight for race gas.

The block has been finished, but the heads are in the procress of receiving CNC porting and installation of Inconel valves, guides and seats.

With the dry sump parts arriving, the company will be able to test the fitment to finalize the engine and transmission mounts.

The RS4 body has started to go under the knife, with the trunk floor being removed and a sheet metal enclosure taking its place. The housing will mount a 10-gallon fuel cell along with the pumps and filters. Rear-mounted oil coolers will extract air from a high-speed duct in the full under-tray to cool the fluids for the engine, transmission and differential.

With everything coming together, the crew is still awaiting a few parts in order to have the engine buttoned up for the dyno testing, tune and break-in.

Parker M3
Nelson Parker, General Manager at Bavarian Auto Recycling in Rancho Cordova, CA, has been building his ’89 E30 M3, which recently came back from the paint shop. Along with new Diamond Schwartz black paint, they replaced the tail lights and a quarter panel.

He’s planning to shave the engine bay and paint it a contrasting color, such as Burnt orange. An Evolution 2 front spoiler will then be fitted along with an Evo 3 adjustable rear wing.

In the meantime, BBS RS wheels are being refinished at Rotiform. The new barrels will measure 17x9" and 17x10" with gold centers, polished nuts and red logos.

Future plans include an RMS stage-two supercharger that will be halted with big-brakes from Massive Brakes and suspension from Ground Control.
