Rancho 4-Inch Lift On A 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Duramax - Pick It Up!

I had the chance to tour the Rancho facility in Long Beach, California, to see the engineering and fabrication that goes into every Rancho system before it is sent to the dealer. After close to 60 years in the suspension business, Rancho has a history of innovation, technology, and engineering experience. And it's evident in the system that was developed for our project vehicle-an '04 Chevrolet 2500HD Duramax-that has been featured in 8-Lug in the Build It series. Our project truck already had an aftermarket suspension lift. That lift only allowed for a 33-inch tire and the ride was rough. I could feel every bump in the road and the rear was stiff. Also, when towing a 26-foot enclosed trailer, I felt like I was missing something. The new Rancho 4-inch lift (RS6548) solved all those problems in addition to allowing 35-inch tires on a 20-inch rim. Rancho developed this system using a 285/75/16 tire on a 16x8 wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing. If you are going to install a bigger wheel and tire combo, double-check your clearances.
