Product Spotlight: Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger System for 2007-2012 GM 4.8L and 5.3L Trucks

Edelbrock expands its E-Force Supercharger system to fit 2007-2012 Chevrolet and GMC trucks equipped with 4.8L or 5.3L LS engines. Improve street and towing performance with Edelbrock's complete E-Force Supercharger system bolt-on kit. The supercharger assembly is integrated into Edelbrock's unique intake manifold design and uses the same Eaton Twin Vortices Series (TVS) Gen VI rotors as on the ZR-1 Corvette with Edelbrock's Corvette and Camaro Superchargers. The intake features 12-inch-long runners for maximum low-end torque and an integrated bypass valve that helps reduce parasitic loss under light throttle for improved gas mileage potential. The kit has an air-to-water intercooler, a full-face low-temperature heat exchanger, and flash tuner to properly tune the factory ECU. The kit is also available without the tuner for users who wish to develop a custom tune. A Supplemental Fuel Pump kit will be required for all 2007-2009 non-Flex Fuel vehicles at an additional cost.   |   Edelbrock E Force Supercharger System According to Edelbrock, a stock 5.7L engine was baseline tested with 270 horsepower and 308 lb-ft of torque. After the system was installed, the engine was retested, putting out 364 horsepower and 397 lb-ft of torque, an increase of 94 hp and 89 lb-ft of torque. The 4.8L was also tested before and after the install, going from the stock baseline of 228 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque to 334 and 380, an increase of 106 hp @ 121 lb-ft of torque. Edelbrock's E-Force Supercharger system has been designed to meet 50-state emissions and works with all OEM emissions equipment (E.O. Number Pending). Edelbrock offers two levels of optional powertrain warranty terms: 3-years/36,000 miles and 5-years/100,000 miles.
