The big news at last year’s SEMA show was that GM’s E-ROD LS3 now carries an EO number, meaning it’s emissions-compliant for OBD-1 (1995) and earlier model vehicles. That’s a great engine for hot-rodders, but GM didn’t leave well-enough alone. Joining the LS3 are a 7.0L LS7, 6.2L 556hp LSA, and a 315hp 5.3L. All three engines are currently going through CARB approval and should all carry an OE number soon.
