Vintage RV Trailers

  |   1927/35 Holt Travel Trailer - Pennsylvania resident John Holt began construction of this trailer in 1927 but did not register it for the road until 1935, at which time it was approximately 90 percent complete. From a humble beginning, leisure travel has evolved significantly to allow millions of vacationers the opportunity to experience overnight stays outdoors in relative comfort. Looking back to the 1920s, the recreational vehicle industry was just beginning to boom as better roads opened the doors to long-distance travel. We embrace those days with our look back to early RV, and the craftsmen who made it possible. The exhibit, Autocamps to Airstreams, is currently at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.
