Auto Insurance Claims: Stolen car with no forced entry, rbc insurance, canadian insurance

Question
Hi, My honda civic got stolen in Ontario two weeks ago. The police found it the same day stripped. The insurance company says there was no sign of forced entry but the ignition was popped. I live in Ontario, not sure if there is expert on this with information about this and have RBC insurance so I'd like to know, would the company still have to give me a cheque since they said the car is a total loss?

Answer
Hi Deejay,
I am NOT an expert on Canadian Insurance, but I can't imagine that an auto policy would contain a clause that required proof of forced entry
for auto theft.
Read the legal wording of your policy in the portion of 'other than collision loss'.  If it's still unclear, call your agent for a discussion.
