Auto Insurance Claims: Cancellation of the travel due to the accident, visa application, pocket expenses

Question
Can I include a loss of the nonrefundable visa application fees in a personal injury claim due to the cancellation of the travel after injuries in an auto accident (the other driver’s fault)? How shall I do? Thank you for your answer.

Answer
Yes.  Personal injury claim valuation is very sujective and a lot of things can be included like inconvenience, aggravation, pain, suffering, etc.

When you have completed medical care, compile all your out of pocket expenses.  Then add in what you think you deserve for the subjective items.  This is your value.  Of course, you and the adjuster will negotiate back and forth as to the total amount they will pay you.  It is unlikely you will agree on the first try, but can probably work it out together over time.
