Auto Insurance Claims: Settlement for being hit by car, Settlement for being hit by car, injury by car

Question
My son, who was 15 at the time, was working as a carhop.  While delivering food to a customer he was hit by a car driven by a co-worker.  The worker's comp has already been settled; now is the time for the civil case involving the insurance company of the driver.  My sons arm was broken during the accident.  Is there any way to estimate the settlement he should expect to receive?

Answer
Hello Lisa,

I am sorry to hear about your son and his broken arm. Sounds like the WC claim has been covered, however, you will have to settle for all pain and suffering (assuming he is still under the age of 18).

Putting your finger on one specific amount can be difficult, depending on all the circumstances (is his arm going to heal correctly or is this injury permanent?).
