Auto Insurance Claims: Insurance claim DUI, damag, car damage

I recently crash my car ito a tree i felt asleep but the police filed me as a DUI, I live in florida nobady was injured but my car y severly damaged would the company Geico will pay my repairs?

Hi Eduardo,

If you were not DUI then you should fight the ticket. A DUI on your driving record will make your insurance go up substantially.

As far as Geico covering your car damage, you will just have to put in the claim. Some companies have an exclusion for damag to your vehicle while DUI. They will tell you if this is the case. This another important reason to fight th DUI ticket.
