Auto Insurance Claims: Coverage, injury liability, definite answer

Question
If an intoxicated passenger jumps out of your vehicle while it is moving and claims the tire hit them and injured them, is your auto insurance responsible

Answer
There are two coverages that might apply here.

The first is bodily injury liability.  This covers medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering.  The passenger was negligent so the insurance company would deny the passenger's claim here, unless there is some allegation that the driver did something wrong.

The second coverage is first party medical coverage.  Depending on your state it might be called Medical Payments or PIP. In most states, this applies regardless of who is at fault, so it probably will apply.  This will pay emdical bills and maybe lost wages.  For a definite answer, call your agent.
