Auto Insurance Claims: auto accident in KS expired insurance, insurance info, auto accident

My son-in-law was rear ended this morning and exchanged insurance info with the other driver. No police report has been filed as of right now. He called his insurance company to tell them about the accident and was told his coverage has expired. What kind of trouble is he in?

Hi David,

I'm assuming that you meant that your son-in-law's insurance was cancelled. This is no problem. Your son-in-law should call the insurance company of the person who was at-fault and put in a claim directly with them. They will pay for the damage.
