Auto insurance dragging their feet in compensating me for an auto theft claim, they have completed their investigation, computed the value but refuse to finalized this in a timely fashion.  it's been since 1-31-08, my rent car coverage has exceeded 30, days and i still have the car and i am responsible for the bill!  they only paid for 30days! help me

Hi John,

In most states and insurance comapny has 60 days to investigate and either pay or deny a theft claim. You will be approaching the 60 day point in just a few days. If it goes beyond 60 days, you should contact your state insurance commissioners office to file a formal complaint.
