Auto Insurance Claims: reversing accident., parallel parking space

hi, i was involved in an accident recently. i was reversing into a parallel parking space beside the road when i hit into the car behind. however as i was driving a truck and the car tailgated me, i could not see car the from my side and rear mirrors due to its small size. furthermore, i signaled before stopping my vehicle to reverse. thus is it still my purely my fault since the cause of the accident resulted from him tailgating me initially and he did not horn to warn me even when i was reversing.

Unfortunately, in this situation it will likely be found to be your fault. You could try to argue that the other person was at least partially at fault since they did not blow their horn and they pull up too close for you to see them.
