Auto Insurance Claims: 4 car accident, small claims court, pain & suffering?, soft tissue damage, small claims court

Hi I was involved in a 4 car accident (in san francisco) and my vehicle was the vehicle in the front. We were at a complete stop and felt one impact, the car behind me claims to feel only one impact as well which would make me believe (which all insurances agree) is the liability of the last vehicle. after 3 long months of waiting they finally came to the conclusion that NO insurance will take liability. I am left with no med coverage with my insurance and left with extensive medical bills. I also still feel alot of pain every so often in my neck.

My chiropractor said I had soft tissue damage and my neck bone seemed to have shifted. He released me but the pain is coming back.

I want to bring this person to small claims court but how do i prepair a pain and suffering bill or calculate it? My bill as of today is $3400 and we didn't have a car for >45 days since no one took liability. My vehicle was inoperable after the accident but now in working order. what woudl i need to make my case stronger in court?

The pain and suffering will be based on 2-3 times the medical costs. Going to a Physician and getting on physical therapy will strengthen your case.  The other thing would be to get a written statement from your Chiropractor and the Physician as to how the accident (not a pre-existing condition) affected your health and the long term affects.  Any statements from witnesses would help as well.
