Auto Insurance Claims: Parking lot incident, person claim, own insurance

Question
Hello,
Yesterday, I was waiting (standing) for a spot, as someone was leaving.
As I am waiting, someone in a fast rate of speed tried to get around me but
misjudged, and clipped my right front bumber with her door. We exchanged
info. there were no other witnesses.
I am calling her insurance co. on Monday, but what if she claims It was my
fault?

Answer
Hi Garett,

What if questions are difficult to answer. The insurance company will take a statement from both drivers and will make a liability decision based on those statements. If the other person claim that it was your fault you will have to file the claim for any damage to your car through your own insurance company and they will then try to negotiate a settlement with the other insurance company.

I hope this helps
