Auto Insurance Claims: Auto insurance question, insurance question, kind of woman

Hi, a couple days ago i got into an arument with my boyfriend. He kicked my door and it left a big dent. My question is if i file this with my insurance company, who pays for the deductible/cost to repair door. would i have to sue him for the deductible or would the insurance company sue him for the cost of eveything. Thanks for any input

If you file with the insurance company, they would have to take legal action against the boyfriend (or I'll assume ex-boyfriend) and successfully collect the damages before you will see your deductible refunded.  I'd recommend that you get an estimate before deciding which way to proceed as it may be under your deductible.
