Auto Insurance Claims: Will a second accident affect a previous claim, minor accident, ginny

I was in an accident some months ago, sustaining serious injuries and have not yet settled the UIM claim with my company.

Just today on his way to work, my husband was involved in a minor accident that was his fault.

Would you anticipate that this could complicate my negotiations on my UIM claim, and might two claims be held against us?

I appreciate your thoughts on this.

Hi Ginny,

If you were in one accident and then your husband was in a seperate accident, there will be no affect on your claim.

The fact that you have been involved in 2 accidents with one at fault will likely have an affect on your premiums.
