Auto Insurance Claims: auto insurance claim, property damages, fault insurance

Question
I'd asked a question regarding my insurance paying for a rental. I used the term" Big-Shot" insurance company and you responded that you wouldn't be able to answer my question to my satisfaction. Why? And of course i have filed a claim with my auto insurance to pay for the rental as well as the at-fault insurance who doesn't want to pay for a rental pass 10 days, although i used the rental for 3 weeks and it took them a month to pay for my property damages. So again i just would like an expert opinion on who is supposed to pay for the days I'm not in a vehicle able to get to work: my own insurance company (Yes i have rental up to $750)or the at fault company who only wants to pay for 10 days? Why can't that be answered to my satisfaction?

Answer
Hi Tee,

The at-fault insurance company owes for reasonable rental. If they feel the shop took too long to repair your car they may not want to pay the difference. You can try to negotiate this point, but if they do not treat you fairly, you may have to file a small claims law suit against the at-fault party. If you win your case, it would be the insurance company that would write the check.

I hope this helps
