Car Alarms: 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora, 1998 oldsmobile aurora, oldsmobile aurora

Question
Our car was broken into 5 years ago and the thieves tried to hotwire it.  They failed, unfortunately not before cutting the ignition wires.  The dealership repaired it and gave us a new key, however since then we have been having no start security issues. We have spent close to $2000 on this issue.  We have replaced the main computer module, relays and various other modules that may or may not be related to the no start issue.  The last repair was to install a new relay.  The car started fine for 4 days without the usual hesitation when turning the key.  I thought we had it fixed until it started to hesitate.  Is there something that is burning up the relay? Since then it has not started at least once a day.  It will start only after waiting for the security light to go out on the dashboard.  Also the computer in the car tells us to "clean key-wait 3 minutes".  We love the car but it is unreliable.  Sometimes I have waited 6 3-minute waiting periods before finally starting.  My mechanic is great but we are pulling our hair out.  Can we bypass the security system?  If we can, how and what affects will it have?  Thank you for your time and advice.

Answer
The only way I know of to get over this is to
bypass the VATS )vehicle anti theft system)
in the vehicle if possible.

With all of the repairs that went on before,
no real guaranty the bypass will work, but see
www.PASSLOCK1.com  and then see VATS bypass.
But from your description,
I am fairly certain it will.

This is the only way I would know of to
"git er done!" if you will.

You'll know it worked when a key hardware store
can be made to start it, and the system will
do nothing to keep you from doing it.

Good luck.

PS: I suggest the PLJX self learning
passlock bypass module here.
Does a great job.
