Auto Insurance Claims: Auto Accident, massachusetts resident, pip insurance

Question
I was a passenger in an auto accident in Florida, and am a Massachusetts resident.  The driver was clearly at fault and admitted so. I am covered only by my PIP insurance.  I hit my head, and twisted forward, had a seat belt on, but airbags did not deploy. The car was totaled. I have terrible muscle spasms and whiplash, and must have physical therapy for 3 months.

I rented a house in Florida for 4 weeks, and the accident happened the first week.  I lost my ability to move around or walk, was in terrible pain daily, and had to change my return flight, and have a friend come down to assist me home. I have been told to contact her agent, to be compensated for the rental on the house, and the pain & suffering I endured. together with expenses caused by this accident.  I'm not asking for medical reimbursement.  Can you advise me how to handle this with the agent in Florida.
Thank you

Answer
Florida law will rule here, and unfortunately I ma unfamiliar with it.  You may be entitled to compensation for pain, suffering, inconvenience, and extra travel expenses.  You may alo be entitled to some or all of your medical bills, so don't rule that out until you find out the rules.  Call the insurance claim representative handling the claim for the other driver.  f you don't have that info, hopefully your insurance claim rep will have it.
