Auto Insurance Claims: Auto Claim, hail damage, mazda 3

Had some hail damage.  I can deal with the damage.  The estimator came up with 3300 dollars of damage on a 05 mazda 3.23 21,000 miles.  Is it possible to receive that money or do I have to let the finance company have it......they also will allow me to put it toward the principal

Your insurance company is required to protect your lien holder so they will have to put them on the check and you will have to get them to sign off on it.  They may sign off without you showing proof of repair but most will want to see that the car was repaired before signing off.  The only other way is to have your insurance company put your name and a body shops name on the check but that is not what you want.  I am afraid you will not be able to get ahold of the money
