Auto Insurance Claims: Air-bag deployment and hearing damage claim, air bag deployment, personal injury protection

Question
I ran over something in the road that caused my driver side airbag to deploy.  There was not an actual accident, just a jolt which caused deployment.  This was 5 days ago and my hearing in both ears is still not back to normal.  Is it possible to make a claim under medical for this type of bodily damage?  I realize I would need medical documentation.  Thanks for your help.

Answer
Melissa,

Thank you for your question and yes, you can make a claim for loss related injury.

State laws vary in issues such as no-fault and personal injury protection (PIP) policies, their deductibles etc.

If it were I, I would first contact an attorney (free consultation and case evaluation) to discuss your claim and find out what you can do to seek medical evaluation to determine if your hearing loss may be temporary or permanent.

Selection of an attorney is important and like body shops, there are the best and the not so best. I would seek referrals from friends, family and colleagues in your selection.

Wishing you a speedy and full recovery. I hope I provided some help in your inquiry.
