Land Rover Repair: 96 Disco Roof replacement, salvage, lr

Landrover Discovery ES 1996 3.9l V8 petrol
The roof is quite badly corroded, to such an extent that I am considering replacing the entire roof. Is it possible to remove the roof and replace it with another? Do you know of anyone that has performed such an operation and of any troubles they may have had?

Hi Steve,

roof replacement...that bad?  I've never done this before but it should be possible.  It's the only part of the Disco that is steel.  I'm not sure if you'd find a replacement at LR...never asked.  

Salvage yard?  try www.car-part.com for a search engine that lists many N.American yards.
