Question
hi i have a Honda odyssey 03 the air condition is not working , i changed the air compressor because it locked up but i couldn't get a cold air i gave it to a Mechanic he said the expansion valve is blocked , when he opened it he found metal shave in the system he said it will take you to change every thing in the A/C to get it done otherwise if you just cleaned it it will stop working after a while ( he cleaned the expansion valve it worked for a while then it stopped ) he suggested me to sell the car my question is ( if there is any way to fix that problem or it's not worthy  and i have to sell it????

Answer
Beshoy,

Your mechanic is going to hate me when I say this but no you do not have to replace all of the AC components.  They can be flushed with Nitrogen and an AC flush solvent/detergent.  If the contamination is that bad an aftermarket inline filter can be installed on the suction line to protect your new compressor.
Keep in mind though that your vehicle is 9 years old and should be in tip top shape before expensive AC repairs are done. Maybe your technician sees something looming and is trying to protect you from spending more money than it is worth.  They do have many problems with the Odyssey transmissions and they can be costly.
