Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: AC & Heater actuator door, chevy suburban, mecanic

Question
QUESTION: I own a 2002 Chevy Suburban when driving it blows out HOT air. I took it to a mecanic and he was sure that it was the actuator door. So he replaced it with a new actuator. It was still doing the same thing. He says that there was no signal being sent to the actuator to close the door and that I might have to take it to the dealership to get it reprogramed. 1. If you think he might be correct is there anything the mecanic can do to reprogram it himself or get the infrmation online? Is there anything else he should or needs to do?  2. If you think if that might not be the problem than please let me know what else you might think it should be and what to do about it.
Thank You!
Sammy

Answer
You would need a scanner or laptop with the program to connect to the vehicle.  Your mechanic should have something to scan your vehicle with.  Then you go to the web site and flind the section that has FREE downloads from there just follow the directions and you will find the one you need.  Sometimes it is free others you may have to pay for.  When you find it you will have to enter your vehicle ID and it will give you all the downloads.
