Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Air Conditioning, ac system, relief valve

My a/c was working just fine.  My transmission went out and I took it in for a rebuild.  When i got my SUV back, one side of the car blows only very hot air and the other side blows cold to slightly warm air.  They told me it is common in my vehicle.  I believe they didnt hook something up properly.  What do you think?

I am sure the transmission had nothing to do with what is happening with ac.  Try and disconnect the battery and reconnect after about 10 seconds. This may reset the heater doors.  The only other thing it may be is that when your transmission was going bad the ac system may have over heated and the relief valve may have let some refrigerant out.  If this is the case then just add some refrigerant and check system for leaks.
