Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: heat, grand cherokee, heat system

Question
QUESTION: On the passenger side cold air sometimes comes out (especially at higher vehicle  speed) while normal hot air on the driver side comes out ... I have changed all the vent doors& actuate controls  worked good for a short time but the problem returned. 2003 Grand Cherokee Limited with dual control A/C

ANSWER: Hi Ron

Check your pressure more then likely you need to add refrigerant.  I do not think it has anything to do with the actuators or doors.  Let me know what the pressures are and I will try and help.

QUESTION: What I forgot to mention is this problem happens with the heat system in winter months. When the heat is on it has heat coming out but again sometimes on the passenger side the cold air comes out from the floor area.  I do not understand why the pressure with A/C would make a difference. I do have a problem with the A/C having a leak But thought that might be two different problems.. Thank you again for getting back to me

Answer
Sorry I miss understood the question thought you had problems with ac not cooling correctly.  This changes things and it may be one of your actuators acting up.  You can try and reset them by disconnecting your battery if you do not have a scanner.  This may solve your problem.  Let me know if you find out anything else or if you need any help.
