Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: ac drain cleanout, floorboard, 2004 ford expedition

Question
i have a 2004 ford expedition, the question is how do you cleanout the a/c water drain??

Answer
James,
you shouldn't have to clean out the water drain unless youdo some serious mudding with yours, as I do mine. But the first thing you would do is locate the drain hose. You should see it close to the firewall on the passenger side of the cab. Disconnect it from the housing taking care not to break the nipple off the housing. Once you disconnect it here, you should be able to pull it up through the floorboard.
Once you have it in your hand, you can either blow high pressure air through it, or just spray it out with a water hose. This will free any debris that may have collected inside it.
But if you have the room to do it with it still in the floorboard, I would see what I could do there, as getting it back through the floorboard can sometimes be a headache.
After you have cleaned it out, simply reinstall it the same way you took it out, again be careful with the nipple on the housing. Should you snap it off, the only drain route would be into the floorboard of the truck.

Thank you for the question, I hope I was of some assistance. If so, please remember to rate this answer. If I can do anything further during this process or in the future, do not hesitate to ask. Thank you again and good luck in everything.
