i have a 1997 exploer 5.0 the a/c bloes cold on max a/c but on normal a/c the heater contrl valve opens and turns the heat on do you know what the problem is   thank you nick

Hey Nick,

I looked up a wiring schematic for your vehicle and found that the switch is wired into a/c climate control unit and the unit might be malfunctioning and opening the blend door too far and allow to much heat. To diagnose you will have to pull the control unit and probably part of the dash. I apologize for the way late response.
