Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: AC clutch removal, buick regal, cluch

1994 Buick Regal 3.8L  David I'm trying to remove the clutch from my AC compressor. I took off the fender shield so I could have access to the clutch.  Looking into the cluch assy. I see a threaded shaft and something that looks like a key way on the side of the shaft. How can I remove the clutch assy and if I remove it can I drive my vehicle?

HI FRANK,BEFORE YOU GET STARTED,THERE IS NO ROOM ON THAT MODEL TO GET A PULLER INSTALLED. THERE ARE SPECIAL A/C PULLER TOOLS AND INSTALLER FOR THAT COMPRESSOR. THE CLUTCH REMOVAL IS DONE ON A BENCH. THE COMPRESSOR NEEDS TO BE REMOVED.IF YOU TRY TO PRY THE HUB YOU CAN CRACK THE CERAMIC SEAL INSIDE THE SHAFT..BE CAREFUL...
