Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: air compressor, toyota corrolla, c oil

1992 toyota corrolla 4dr. compressor is ceased,i want to buy a cheap one and do it myself.any special instruction, or do i just take the old one off,and put the new one on.?any special seals.or lubricants. The air blows fine may just need some free-on after i am done putting the belt on,right.I can purchase a compressor on-line for maybe 70.00.please re-ply,thankyou.

Hello Jason, Would recommend replacing compressor and filter.It does take a special a/c oil and can be bought at most part stores.Check at part stores or dealer for o-rings & seals needed.The system must be evcuated and then recharge using a/c charge station.Hope you can find someone to help you because this is not cheap and easy process.You gotta have the tools & equiptment to play.
