Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: air conditioning changing 99 silverado, vacuum pump, accumulator


Question
After I change the the compressor and accumulator and some flap (I think they called it) what do I do next? Just ad coolant? Or do I have to have the high side and low side set and all that. About a week ago the little clicking thing that kicks it offf and on quit clinking. any recomendationions?

Did you dump the old oil out of the old compressor and also dump out the oil from the new compressor and measure the amount of oil that came out of the old compressor and put the same amount of new oil into the new compressor ?.

Did you put refrigerant oil into the accumulator ?.

You have to use a vacuum pump to extract all the air out of the system BEFORE you add freon.
