Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: blower will not stop, runs on high, blower works, blower fans

Question
Sorry Tom. I sent the following as a follow-up question to one you already answered and I thought the previous info I sent went along with it.

I have a 2000 Chrysler T&C.  Your previous answer was to a problem I have been having with the blower which stopped working.  I replaced the fuse, relay, and resistor before finding out it was a bad blower motor.  My new problem is described below:

Thanks Tom for the quick response.  I went to the store where I purchased the resistor and told the salesman I was troubleshooting my problem from the cheapest part to the most expensive part.  I wanted to see what a new blower motor was going to cost if I needed one.  He helped me test the old one and it was bad.  I replaced the motor and the a/c and blower works.

But, now I have a new problem.  The blower runs only at high speed and constantly while the car is running.  It runs on high speed with the dash knob in the off position as well as in each of the four speed positions.  It will not turn off or change speeds.  It can't be the way I wired it.  There are two wires running to the motor, so there is only two ways you can wire it up.  Whichever way you attach the wires depends upon the direction the fan is supposed to spin according to the direction the fins on the fan are facing, clockwise or counterclockwise.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Frank

I get a hundred questions daily.

need MAKE-YEAR-MODEL of vehicle.

Answer
I honestly canot help you on this one as I get very few Chryslers to work on and can't remember anyone of them that came in with this problem.

Most blower fans have a A/C - Heater BLOWER MODULE that controls  the fans and is about 4" s square. backtrach the fan harness and see if you can see a module of about this size very close to the blower motor.
