Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: a/c compressor clutch, clutch assembly, compressor clutch

Question
this is my second time asking a question on this site, the first time i asked about my a/c pulley being locked up. you were right when you told me to change the clutch, i changed it and it worked . unfortunatly it only worked for about two blocks then it siezed up again. could i have done something wrong? or could there be another problem? this is a "91 toyota truck .changing the clutch seemed fairly simple basically just 2 clips and one bolt holding the clutch assembley onto the compressor. thank you for your help.

Answer
OK, Does the compressor lock up when the A/C is OFF ?. If it does this would be caused by the front compressor bearing.

If this only happens when the compressor is operating you may have a fault within the compressor or you do not have the air gap set correctly between the clutch assembly and the compressor plate.

Did you SET the air gap per the instructions ?.
