Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Expedition Coolant odor from a/c, ford expedition, ford dealer

I have a 1998 Ford Expedition and had the heater core replaced by the Ford dealer last winter.  I am now experiencing the same sort of coolant odor and vapor coming from the air vents when the a/c is turned on.  It goes away if I switch to heat.
Any suggestions?

either the new core is leaking, IF they even replaced it at all. Did you physically see the old one and you are POSITIVE a new one was installed or is it possible that they just flushed out the heater core and dumped some SEALER into the core to stop the leak and now it's leaking again ?.

I have seen this done many times.

I am NOT SAYING this IS the case but it IS possible.

You can also try spraying some lysolinto the intake air vents to dispurse any residue that may have been left in the duct work.
