Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Lesabre AC problem, buick lesabre, external switch

Question
Have 1986 Buick Lesabre 3.8L V6 Replaced ac compressor as old one had defective clutch. Added correct amount of oil.

I think who ever had the car before me cut out the clutch permantly with cut out switch on dehydrator if this is possible.

So now the clutch will not kick in with the controls inside the car. I played around with the external switch on the dehydator and got the clutch to kick in but the controls inside the car do not do anything will not turn off clutch etc. What is the most likley problem with it. Vacum lines ?????

Answer
WHY did not not just simply replace the A/C clutch ?.

Your problem is more likely to be electrical than vacuum.

I have an electrical schematic for an 86 Oldsmobile that should be identical to your Buick that I can e-mail to you so you can see how the electrical should look.
