Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: 1992 Regal A/C, buick regal gs, r 134 freon

Question
I have a 1992 Buick Regal GS and am having some fits with the a/c. Earlier this year I tested the system and when I turned it on any a/c setting (max, norm, bi-level) I could hear and feel the blower kick on, but I did NOT feel any cold air and did not see the compressor turn on.  Thinking that the system was low on freon, I had the system flushed (r-12)and recharged with r-134a. However, the system still acts the same. I have checked all fuses, replaced the a/c relay and have jumped the compressor and it worked while being jumped. Do you have any ideas? Thanks.

Answer
EXACTLY what steps did you perform when you installed the R-134 freon ?.  Did you just expel the R-12 and refill the system with R-134 ?.

What mechanical work or ANY kind of work has been performed on the vehicle recently ?. As most problems that occur after a recent repair was made can be traced back to the area of where the repair was made as a vacuum line may have been knocked loose or a wire connection came loose, Look around in the area where work was performed..
