How do you take out the heater core on a 92 Buick Skylark V6? Also, I read about having to replace freon..is that true??

I am going to be completly honest with your question > This type of repair requires a skill level of 5 ot 6 on a scale of 1 to 10 and 10 being extremly difficult.

there are more cables, wires and hidden bolts that have to be removed as well as hours of work entailed. All these cable sand wires and controllers then MUST be re-adjusted EXACTLY once the core is installed and the system re-assembled.

Since I have no way of knowing your amount of expertise and if you do NOT have the service manual to guide you along the process of removal/installation, I would NOT recommend that you attemp this kind of repair. It is NOT as simple as it sounds.


I can only give you suggestions, the decision is up to you.
