Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Heater core location., mercury grand marquis, nuts and bolts

Where is the heater core located on a 1985 Mercury Grand Marquis 5.0L FI? Is is hard to do it yourself on this car? Thanks, Brian.

Answer
It is located in the passengers compartment behind the glove box and it is a NIGHTMARE to replace as you have to partially loosen the whole dash assembly and there are HIDDEN nuts and bolts that if you do not know WHERE they are you will go crazy trying to get the core out.
