Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: ac problem, vacuum hoses, vacuum lines

Question
i have a 95 honda civic ex and when i start the car in the morning or after a long break from driving, the a/c works fine.  However after driving for a while, less and less air comes out through the vents.  if i turn the a/c up to a higher setting, you can hear the sound of the a/c working, but only a little amount of air comes through the vents.  The air that comes out is cold, but it comes to a point where you can barely feel the air even if you put your hand in front of the vents. what could be the problem?

Answer
What mechanical work or ANY kind of work has been performed on the vehicle recently ?. As most problems that occur after a recent repair was made can be traced back to the area of where the repair was made as a vacuum line may have been knocked loose or a wire connection came loose, Look around in the area where work was performed.

During your long drive vacuum hoses tend to get SOFT to the touch from years of use and when they get HOT they have a tendency to suck themselves FLAT, Thus restricting the flow of vacuum. Check for flattened vacuum lines within the engine compartment but make sure that the engine is RUNNING and the A/C is ON while you look for this common problem.
