Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: No Heat, dodge caravan, antifreeze

Question
I have a 1998 Dodge Caravan.  The blower works fine, but I have no heat.  The gauge registers in the "normal" area but no heat.  There is a clicking sound that comes from behind the dash after about 2-3 miles, it sounds like it is trying to open something.  And now for the past month or so, it has been overheating requiring me to add premixed antifreeze every 75-100 miles.  What can be done to fix this problem?

Answer
Hi Sue

These vehicles have an actuator motor located in the dash to control the heater doors.  If this motor is bad you will hear the clicking sound.  You should also find the source of the leak so that you system can build up pressure and flow properly.
