Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Chevy S10 Air conditioning, e mail address, chevy s10

Question
I have a 1999 chevy S10 4.3V6. My air conditioning will only work part of the time. The syestem is fully charged and has been tested. I have checked all fuses and replaced the A/C relay.Whenever the compressor kicks in the A/C works fine but there are times when the compressor wont kick in. The compressor and cluch were tested and are OK but sometimes there is no voltage to the A/C clutch. When this happens the compressor wont work and my A/C goes out. What else can I try?

On the side of the receiver/dryer (accumulator you will see a 2 wire electrical connector that plugs onto the CYCLING SWITCH. This switch is famous for having an internal problem. Simply buy and replace this switch. You do NOT have to discharge the A/C refrigerant (freon) as there is a schrader valve behind this switch must like your valve stem schrader valve on your tires. Simply unscrew this switch and screw on a new one and reattach the electrical plug to it and your done.

You should also check for any signs of LOW REFRIGERANT within the A/C system due to an external leak of refrigerant due to a faulty seal and or other A/C component.

let me know.
