Classic/Antique Car Repair: 65 mustang, windsor engine, door latch

Hi, I recently purchased a 65 mustang, and let me tell you, shes a beauty, she's got a 351 Windsor engine, and a 4 speed manual transmission. The only problem is that the doors wont lock, do you have any idea what might be causing this problem?

Will the key turn in the cylinder and does the lock rod appear to be connected inside the door? I would start with removing the door panels and checking the door latch mechanism inside the doors to make sure that the small lever that loscks the dors is not frozen and needs to be freed up.
